CASA mission statement

Who we are

CASA was founded in 1983 by a group of young pedagogues. Owing to our field of work in education and international understanding, the school is registered as a non-profit organisation.

We teach languages with both professionalism and passion, regarding the process of learning as a precious human experience. Our aim is to aid this process by giving individuals the support they need for developing their language skills.

Our motto is: β€œFor a better understanding.” Interacting with our language students, within our team and with our partners, we strive to realise this motto each day anew. CASA – which translates as house – is a place where people from many different backgrounds meet, establishing a community anchored in cultural diversity.

Quality standards are of utmost importance to us. The expectations of our clients are met with the help of our quality management system, which involves

  • the continuity and actuality of our courses
  • the training of our staff
  • facilities and equipment
  • teaching material
  • regular feedback to our work

Our aims

As a language school, we specialise in German as a foreign language  (DaF). Language skills and the ability to express oneself are key for successful integration, for entering the world of work or for taking up studies at a German university.

Our teaching is focused on the direct use of the language in communication. Our participants should be able to communicate better with others and better understand their fellows.

Our approach

CASA sees itself as a bridge builder between people.

We consider the learning process to be one of the most beautiful human experiences. It can only take place in a pleasant and stimulating environment. That is why an encounter-based pedagogical approach is very important to us.

The goal of this work is to create space for encounter and exchange within the framework of our language teaching.

We would like to achieve this by

  • placing our students with German host families
  • organizing tandem partnerships between Germans and our students
  • organizing a cultural and leisure program for our students
  • providing space for partner exercises and exchange in the classroom

The goal of this daily work is to

  • create a pleasant learning atmosphere in our study groups
  • learn new things together by working together in an action- and solution-oriented way
  • develop linguistically and personally in exchange with fellow students.
