- What kinds of courses does Casa offer?
We offer various German courses, including intensive courses, evening courses or company classes. Individual lessons - in German as well as in English - are also possible with us. You can find an overview of the courses we offer here.
- Can my language course be financed by the BAMF or job centre?
Unfortunately, the course fees cannot be covered by the BAMF or Job Centre and must be paid for privately.
- How can I register for a language course?
You can register either via our online form or at our office. Please take a placement test beforehand and send us the results.
- What are the office hours at CASA?
The office is open from Monday to Thursday from 08:30-19:00 and on Friday from 08:30-13:00. You are welcome to come in person during this time.
- Why do I have to take a placement test before enrolling?
At CASA it is very important to us that we find the right level for you and that you are happy with your language course with us. If you are in a course that is too difficult for you, it is frustrating for both you and the other students. If the course is too easy for you, you will be underchallenged. That is why we ask you to take a placement test and send us the result.
- What happens if I get sick and cannot attend class?
Please inform the office and your teachers that you are ill. We will try to find a solution that is good for everyone. Unfortunately, we cannot offer lessons online instead.
- Which language exams can I take at CASA?
We offer language examinations at B2 and C1 level (telc B2, telc C1 Hochschule and TestDaf). Unfortunately, we do not offer language examinations for levels A1 - B1.
- What are the requirements to apply for a language visa?
To apply for a language visa, you must book language courses for at least three months. In addition, the courses booked must be at least 20 lessons per week. Our intensive courses meet these requirements.
- How do I receive my visa letter?
As soon as we have received a deposit for the first course from you, we will send you your visa letter. Please check with the German Embassy whether a deposit of the course price is sufficient or whether the course must be paid in full.
- What happens if the application process takes longer or my application is rejected?
If your visa application is rejected, you can postpone your course once free of charge (up to 14 days before the course starts). Each further postponement costs 100€.
If your visa application takes longer than expected, we can deactivate your booking indefinitely. You can then inform us when you have received your visa. We will then offer you the next possible course start date.
If your visa application is rejected, we will refund the course fee except for a processing fee of €100. This only applies if we receive the information from you at least two weeks before the start of the course. Otherwise we will charge part of the course fee in accordance with the cancellation period of 4 weeks.
- Can I book accommodation with CASA?
We offer the possibility to book a room in a CASA shared flat or in a host family. We cannot guarantee a room in a CASA shared flat. If there is no room available in the CASA shared flat for the desired period, we will organise a room with a host family.
- Will CASA help me find a flat?
Unfortunately, we cannot offer any assistance in finding accommodation. However, we will be happy to give information and send you helpful links on request that can make your search for accommodation easier.
- What happens if I want to cancel my course with CASA?
A group course can be cancelled by the participant with a notice period of 4 weeks. Full weeks are always counted. In the event of cancellation up to 4 weeks before the start of the course, we will refund the fees paid less a processing fee of €100.00. A later cancellation obliges the participant to pay for all services booked within the 4-week period from the date of cancellation.
- How can I cancel my language course or accommodation?
Cancellations are only possible in writing. You can send us an e-mail or a letter. Unfortunately, we cannot accept verbal cancellations. You can find all our cancellation conditions here.
