During July and August, we offer summer courses for language students from all over the world. According to your needs, courses lasting from two to nine weeks can be arranged.
After an initial placement test, we decide on the level that suits the student best. As in our intensive courses, summer students work with carefully chosen course books. In addition, our teachers develop their own teaching materials, enabling them to react to the special needs of the class and to involve current events.
In small groups of 10 – 15 participants, the four essential skills of language learning are practised: listening, reading, writing and especially speaking.
Cultural and leisure activities during the summer courses
In addition to 20 German lessons a week, we offer a wide range of cultural and leisure activities: sightseeing in Bremen’s historic town centre, museum visits, barbecues, pub-crawls…and there are plenty opportunities for getting some physical exercise after studying. For those interested in exploring the surroundings of Bremen, there are short trips to Hamburg, Hameln, the North Sea, as well as to Amsterdam and Groningen.
Motivation and fun are keys to learning a language successfully, in particular when working with young people. Running at the same time as our adult summer courses, we offer German courses aimed at teens from ages 14 to 17. After an initial test, we identify the appropriate level, A1 or B2. During the entire course, we do our best to make sure that our choice of topics is in line with the interests of our youngest students.
